The "Lesson I Learned"

Use when: something went wrong (or right) and you learned something worth sharing
A year ago I [made a mistake / hit a wall / tried something new]. At the time it felt like [how it felt β€” embarrassing, scary, exciting]. Here's what actually happened: [2-3 short lines telling the story simply]. The lesson I took from it: [the one-line lesson]. If you're going through [a similar situation] right now β€” you're not behind. You're just in the middle of the story.

Why it works: people don't connect with your wins, they connect with your honesty. Vulnerability + a clear lesson = shares.

2

The Contrarian Take

Use when: everyone in your industry agrees on something and you don't
Unpopular opinion: [the belief everyone holds] is wrong. Here's why: [your real reason β€” 2-3 lines]. I know that's not what most people in [your industry] want to hear. But I'd rather be honest than popular. What do you think β€” am I wrong? πŸ‘‡

Why it works: disagreement (done respectfully) drives comments, and comments are what the algorithm rewards most.

3

The Numbered List

Use when: you want to teach something practical, fast
[Number] things I wish someone told me about [your topic] before I started: 1. [tip one] 2. [tip two] 3. [tip three] 4. [tip four] 5. [tip five] Save this one for later. And if you'd add a 6th β€” tell me in the comments.

Why it works: lists are easy to scan on a phone and easy to "save" β€” saves quietly boost your reach.

4

The Behind-the-Scenes

Use when: you want to build trust by showing the real, unfiltered process
What people see: [the polished result / the win]. What they don't see: [the messy part β€” the early mornings, the doubts, the redo's]. I'm sharing this because [your honest reason] β€” and because someone starting out today needs to hear that the messy part is normal. If you're in the "messy middle" right now: keep going.

Why it works: "behind the scenes" content feels real in a feed full of highlight reels β€” it's what makes people trust you enough to buy.

5

The Direct Ask

Use when: you want to turn attention into actual clients or leads
Quick one: I help [who you help] with [the result you get them]. If that's you β€” or someone you know β€” I've got [a free call / spot / resource] open this week. Comment "[a simple keyword, e.g. GROW]" or send me a DM and I'll sort you out. No pressure, no pitch β€” just an honest chat.

Why it works: most people never post a clear ask because it feels awkward β€” but a simple, honest ask outperforms a hidden one every time.
